After years upon years of anticipation, Atlus has finally revealed the newest entry in their beloved Persona JRPG franchise: Persona 6. On June 7, 2026, the developer unveiled a short teaser trailer confirming that the game is in development
Persona 6 will be the first entirely new game in the Persona franchise in a decade. Putting aside remake like Persona 3 Reload and enhanced ports like Persona 5 Royal, the last mainline Persona game released was Persona 5 in 2016 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Similar to other Persona reveal trailers like the famous Persona 5 chair teaser, there is little to go on here other than symbolic imagery such as a large tree surrounded by a sea of nondescript people, as the confirmation that Persona 6’s main color scheme will be green. A sharp contrast from the previous title’s red color scheme.
