On September 9th, 2023, Masangsoft’s long-anticipated third-person shooter Microvolts Recharged finally relaunched on Steam after a nearly 6 year-long hiatus.
Microvolts Recharged is a multiplayer team-based Third-Person Shooter similar to other popular titles such as Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch, but with the unique twist that here the player will be controlling a customizable toy.
The game was originally developed by NQ Games and published by Rock Hippo Productions back in 2010 and even entered several closed beta phase before it officially released in 2011.
Unfortunately the game shut down on the September 9th 2019, exactly six years before the current relaunched. After the game was shut down the rights to the Microvolts game license were sold to the company Masangsoft who then began working on the current relaunch of the game.
The current game features a fun cast of characters and seven different weapon types that the player can switch between. From melee weapons to knock out opponents near them, sniper rifles to shoot enemies from afar, to a bazooka that blasts away foes in a fiery explosion.

Gamers will be able to customize their own Microvolts avatar using the game’s various unique costume parts. More costumes can even be obtained in gameplay through various challenges.
The game features several different PvP modes such as Team Deathmatch, Zombie Mode, Free For All, Elimination, and Capture the Battery. Players will also be able to access an A.I. Battle mode where they can train against non-player enemies.
Microvolts Recharged’s match variety doesn’t just end at the number of weapons and modes the game has, as the player base will also be greeted by over thirty different maps that they can play on!
Publisher and developer Masangsoft has currently promised that Microvolts Recharged will no longer feature no Pay-to-Win mechanics. The publisher has stated on their website that “Everyone can play fairly, only your fingers matter.”
While the game will not be Pay-to-Win, it will feature several cosmetic microtransactions in the form of new costumes for the player to wear as well as customized weapons such as a “Magicak Bazooka”
Microvolts Recharged is currently available to play as a free-to-play title on the Steam Storefront. To celebrate the launch Masangsoft is currently hosting a launch event where players will receive three Magic Circle Scaffolds upon logging in.
