Sega’s Like a Dragon franchise has always been filled with some of the most bizarre and fun side quests in gaming. The newest game in the franchise, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, is no exception to this rule. It may have fewer quests than the other games, but each one is unique and fun in its own right. One of the strangest side quests in this game is “When You Wish Upon Some Balls!” In this quest, Shen-san from Like a Dragon: Gaiden once again tasks the player with finding seven golden balls across the game’s vast city in exchange for a wish. This Dragon Ball-esque quest can be difficult to complete for some players as there are very few hints as to where any of the balls are. If you are having trouble finding them, here are all the Golden Ball locations in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
Golden Ball Locations in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
The seven balls are spread around the hub areas of Hawaii and Madlantis, they’ll begin to glow when you’re close to them but you’ll need to use your grappling hook to actually grab them.
Golden Ball 1
The first Ball is located at Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine, located in Chinatown at the upper left corner of the Honolulu city map.
Golden Ball 2
You’ll find the second ball at the hotel next to the Worldwide Market Village on Seaside Avenue. Aim your grappling hook through a small opening in the stone wall and you’ll see the ball lying on one of the chairs next to the pool.
Golden Ball 3
Ball 3 has been placed on the lower section of a mannequin wearing a sombrero at Treasure Select Pawn on Hula Avenue. Yank it off with your grappling hook before moving on.
Golden Ball 4
The fourth Ball can be found on the sign of Shinobi Sushi in Little Japan, located in the upper right corner of the map.
Golden Ball 5
You won’t be able to find the fifth ball by walking around the map, instead, you’ll need to buy it from the Sicko Snap exchange shop for 3,333 Sicko Points. Be sure to buy some CDs while you’re here.
Golden Ball 6
The final two balls aren’t located in Hawaii, but can rather be found in the hub area of Madlantis. Like The previous ball, this one is Sicko-related. While on the roof of the Dunghill bar, you’ll be able to look up and see both this Sicko and the ball he possesses, yank it from him with your grappling hook.
Golden Ball 7
Finally, go to the area between the Colosseum and Gambling Hall in Madlantis and look off to the side where you’ll see a man hitting on a woman. The final ball is attached to him, grab it with your grappling hook.
All Wish Rewards in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
Once you’ve obtained all seven Gold Balls in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, you’ll recieve a text from Shen-san to meet him at the docks of Hawaii, there will be a quest marker showing where he is so this won’t be another searcy.
Here you will find him and he says that he’ll grant you any wish. Leading to four options that you can choose from, each with its own reward.
- Normal peaceful life – Shen will say he cannot grant that wish as this isn’t an anime. He will then demand that you pick a different wish.
- Eternal Life – Shen will also be unable to grant this wish. However, he will instead give you 100 Staminan healing items. These restore you to full health, so having a hundred practically guarantees you will never die.
- Endless riches – This is another one that Shen says he cannot grant. However he will instead give you $10,000! An absolutely tiny amount when you consider that the Colosseum gives you thousands of dollars per victory.
- Sexy panties – Even this wish is one that Shen cannot grant. Instead, he will give you his own panties. They are a completely worthless item but can be sold at any pawn shop for about the same amount of money the Endless Riches wishes grants.
Out of these choices, Eternal Life is easily the best one as money is already very easy to obtain in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. After making your wish, Shen-san will join your crew as a practically useless bronze crewmate too, living up to his useless wish nature.
