Yumemizuki Mizuki
Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
“Cast your worries to the wind.”
Character Description
Yumemizuki Mizuki (Mizuki) is a 5-Star, Anemo, Catalyst-user who specializes in On-Field DPS via the Swirl reaction. Besides her reaction-based damage, she can also provide healing to the active character. She is also the first 5-Star character in almost 2 years to be added to the Standard Banner pool, so even if you don’t get her now, you probably will eventually.
Character Materials
Talent Books: Transience (9/63/114)(Mon/Thurs/Sun)![]()
Local Specialty: Sea Ganoderma (168)
Monster Drops: Nobushi Handguards (36/96/129)(Nobushi)![]()
Regular Boss Drop: Talisman of the Enigmatic Land (46)(Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker)![]()
Weekly Boss Drop: Fading Candle (18)(Arlecchino Boss)
Character Abilities
Normal Attack: Pure Heart, Pure Dreams
Generic Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack. 3 hit combo for the Normal Attack. Nothing special about it.
Elemental Skill: Aisa Utamakura Pilgrimage
Mizuki deals 1 instance of Anemo DMG to nearby enemies and enters the Dreamdrifter state. While in the Dreamdifter state, Mizuki will hover slightly above the ground. She can’t move vertically while hovering, only horizontally. You CANNOT attack while in the Dreamdrifter state but you can use Sprint to dash forwards slightly.
Dreamdrifter state: Mizuki continuously drifts forward (you can control the direction she moves in), dealing AoE Anemo DMG to nearby enemies at regular intervals (every .75 seconds). She will also increase the Swirl DMG of nearby party members (herself included) based on her Elemental Mastery and the range at which she can pick up the Snacks from her Burst is increased.
Dreamdrifter has a duration of 5 seconds. It will also end if Mizuki leaves the field or if she uses her Elemental Skill again. The CD of this Skill is 15 seconds, and it generates 1 Anemo Particle whenever an enemy is damaged by any part of this Skill (up to a max of 4 times per cast).
Elemental Burst: Anraku Secret Spring Therapy
Pulls in nearby enemies, deals an initial blast of AoE Anemo DMG, and summons a Mini Baku that lasts for 12 seconds.
The Mini Baku will follow the currently active character. At regular intervals (once every 1.5 seconds) the Baku will create 1 Yumemi Style Special Snack nearby. Picking up the Snack has two effects, based on the current health of the character who picks it up.
If the character’s HP is higher than 75%, the Snack will explode and unleash a Munen Shockwave, dealing AoE Anemo DMG to nearby enemies.
If the character’s HP is less than 75%, the Snack will heal them based on Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery. If Mizuki is the one who triggers the Healing, the amount of Healing is increased by 100% (so she heals herself for more).
If the Snack is not picked up after a period of time, it will explode on its own and unleash a Munen Shockwave. This Burst has a CD of 15 seconds and costs 60 Energy.
Ascension Passive 1: Bright Moon’s Restless Voice
While Mizuki is in her Dreamdrifter state, if she triggers a Swirl reaction, the duration of the Dreamdrifter state will be increased by 2.5 seconds. This effect can occur 2 times per Dreamdrifter state for a total duration of 10 seconds.
Ascension Passive 2: Thoughts by Day Bring Dreams by Night
While Mizuki is in her Dreamdrifter state, when other nearby party members hit enemies with either Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro attacks, Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery will be increased by 100 for 4 seconds.
Utility Passive: All Ailments Banished
When Mizuki is in the party, party members have a chance to recover 30% additional HP when using Healing food that doesn’t have a revive component. The trigger chance is based on the character’s Friendship Level. If the Traveler is the character being healed, the effect will always trigger.
Constellations
1: In Mist-Like Waters
When Mizuki is in the Dreamdrifter state, she will continuously apply the “Twenty-Three Nights’ Awaiting” effect to nearby enemies every 3.5 seconds. This effect will last 3 seconds. When an enemy is affected by a Swirl reaction while under the “Twenty-Three Nights’ Awaiting” effect, the effect will be dispelled, and the triggering Swirl reaction will have its damage increased by 1100% of Mizuki’s Elemental Mastery. – Long-winded way of saying build EM on her.
2: Your Echo I Meet in Dreams
When Mizuki enters the Dreamdrifter state, she grants all nearby party members Bonus Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, and Electro DMG. This Bonus DMG is equal to .04% of her Elemental Mastery. – Well, that’s handy. Bonus DMG for 4 different Elements all at once. Talk about buff consolidation.
3: Till Dawn’s Moon Ends Night
Increase level of Elemental Skill by 3.
4: Buds Warm Lucid Springs
Removes the HP restrictions on pick up Snacks. Will now heal and explode upon pick up, as well as recover 5 Energy for Mizuki. The energy recovery can only occur 4 times per Burst cast. – I hate that this is all the way down here. Should be her C1 in my opinion.
5: As Setting Moon Brings Year’s End
Increase level of Elemental Burst by 3.
6: The Heart Lingers Long
While Mizuki is in the Dreamdrifter state, Swirl DMG dealt by nearby party members can CRIT. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are fixed at 30% and 100% respectively. – Hello Nahida’s C2. Not quite the same level of busted, but still strong.
Gameplay Overview
Mizuki’s gameplay is ridiculously simplistic. Use Burst, then Skill, and then drift around the battlefield for 10 seconds. That’s basically it. If you don’t have C4, bring a healer to keep her topped up so you can always proc explosions. After getting C4, it doesn’t matter anymore.
Artifacts
Best: Viridescent Venerer
Best option. The RES shred and increased Swirl DMG buff do a lot of work. And the shred benefits the character applying the element being shredded too.
Decent: Gilded Dreams
Second best option for personal damage.
Viable: Instructor
While this can provide the party with 120 EM, considering Mizuki is the character that will be On-Field most of the time, this has slightly limited functionality.
Stats
- Elemental Mastery: The bulk of her damage comes from Swirl reactions and her Healing scales off this stat too. Good full EM Main Stat on Clock, Cup, and Hat.
- Energy Recharge: Energy Recharge: Her Burst is pretty important so get a few ER Substats. Fortunately, you don’t need a lot since her Burst’s cost is on the moderate end of the spectrum.
- ATK: The DMG from her Skill and Burst both scale off of ATK so getting some from Substats wouldn’t be a bad idea.
- Other: Honestly, EM and ER are the most important. As long as an artifact has those Stats on it, it’s usable so don’t fret too much.
Weapons
5-Star
Best: Sunny Morning Sleep-In
Her best weapon. Provides the most Healing and the most DMG from Swirl, though it’s beaten out by other options in regards to her Skill and Burst. Still, since her primary source of DMG is the Swirl reaction, it ends up dealing the most damage.
It probably won’t rerun (see Tighnari and Dehya’s weapons) so it’s probably more important to get than Mizuki. That said, the difference between this weapon and the next isn’t that big so you should be fine either way.
Good: A Thousand Floating Dreams
Second best option. Provides the 3rd best Healing and the 2nd best damage.
Decent: Starcaller’s Watch
Provides the 3rd best DMG and the 2nd best Healing. You have to bring a shielder to make it get the full benefits though.
Viable: Skyward Atlas
Between this and Lost Prayer, Skyward provides slightly more damage. They both provide the same level of healing. You do have to throw out a Normal Attack to get the extra damage though. Just something to keep in mind.
4-Star
Best: Mare Mappa
Bonus DMG after triggering a reaction is right up her alley. Plus, it’s a craftable weapon so you can get full refinement if you want.
Good: Fruit of Fulfillment
Another craftable. It’s a good option but Mare beats it out slightly. Probably because Mare’s buff covers more bases.
Decent: Wandering Evenstar
Not as good as the others but will still give decent damage. Not craftable either so you’ll have to be lucky to get it from a weapons banner.
Viable: Sacrificial Fragments
Only on here for the Element Mastery. Extra casts of Elemental Skill are nice but not necessary since she will only have 5 seconds of downtime.
Teams
Rainbow
Rather like Chasca, Mizuki does well in a rainbow team. Just have lots of different characters providing Off-Field DMG while she floats around and Swirls everything together. Xiangling, Mavuika, Pryo Traveler, Furina, Barbara, Kokomi, Fischl, Shinobu, Miko, Layla, Kaeya, Citlali. Just pick 3 and go.
Electro-Charged
Electro-Charged teams provide the possibility of double Swirling so it’s a decent option. Ororon, Furina, and Shinobu are your best bets for this team.
Final Thoughts
Oh boy. . . this character has some issues. First of all, she’s an On-Field DPS who doesn’t attack. She just drifts around. Secondly, her damage and utility are heavily dependent on her Constellations. Without them, her damage is moderate at best. And the fact that you have to get C4 to heal and damage with her Snack is obnoxious. Also, the fact that her personal weapon probably won’t be added to the Standard Banner is problematic.
That being said, she is a markedly different kind of DPS, which is good in its own right. Furthermore, as she is a Standard Banner unit, it’s possible to get her Constellations if you are lucky, or unlucky, enough, so that’s not too much of a problem. And, thankfully, she’s not the worst Standard Banner unit. She actually falls somewhere in the middle.
Ultimately, if you get her, you’ll probably have to wait for her to be useful. She only really starts getting good at C1. I’d say, if you plan on pulling for anything in her initial release patch, you’d probably get more benefit out of pulling for her weapon instead of her.
