Librarian: Tide Up the Arcane Library features many spells that the player can use to speed up or reduce the difficulty of their book sorting experience. While most of these spells are learned by simply filling out the various bookshelves, several of them are locked. In order to learn these extra spells, the player must find keys to unlock the treasure chests on the second floor. The only problem is, the game gives little to no direction on how to find these keys. All Key Locations in Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library
There are four different keys located in the library, with all of them being just outside of your peripheral view as you’re walking around sorting the books. Each key is linked to a corresponding chest on the second floor that will give the player a permanent buff when unlocked. Written below is the location of every key.
Crimson Octagon Key Location
This key is the definition of hidden in plain sight. It is located on the wall between the two sets of stairs that you use to get to the second floor of the library. Use this key to open the Crimson chest and you’ll learn the High Jump spell.
Golden Diamond Key
The next key is located not too far from the previous one. Next to each staircase in the library you’ll see two white pots, look inside of the one on the right staircase and you’ll find a key. This key can open the Golden chest, which contains a potion that will increase your book carrying capacity by +3.
Emerald Club Key
You’ll likely find the Emerald Club key eventually as it’s the least hidden one, but it might take you a while as it’s hidden beneath a pile of book. On the right side of the first table on the first floor of the library, keep removing books on the right side of the table and you’ll find the key sitting there.
The Emerald Club treasure chest contains the Run spell, which will help you get around the library faster.
Azure Star Key
The final key is also the hardest to find. On the second floor of the library, make your way to bookshelf 2O and look up. There is a small space between the bookshelf and the top of the ceiling, try to jump to it with the high jump spell we learned from the Crimson chest. If you’re lucky, you’ll reach the top of the book shelf and find the Azure Star key.
Similar to the Golden chest, the Azure chest contains a potion that will increase your book carrying capacity by +2.
