Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal Gets Switch Release Date

On January 11, 2023, video game developer Feral Interactive released a new trailer for the Nintendo Switch port of their remaster of Hitman: Blood Money. This trailer showcased many classic moments of the game and even unveiled the game’s release date.

The original Hitman: Blood Money was released in 2004 for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC. Since then the game has gone on to be ported to every console generation via Hitman HD collections.

In November 2023, a new mobile-exclusive remaster called Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal was released for mobile devices with gameplay changes to match later games; that same remaster will now be launching for the Nintendo Switch.

This highly anticipated remaster promises to be making slight gameplay changes to the original Hitman: Blood Money inspired by the gameplay of the modern Hitman Trilogy.

The biggest of these changes is the introduction of Instinct Mode, which according to the game’s Eshop description will allow players to highlight targets, guards, and mission-critical points of interest such as stealth kill opportunities and locations for quick getaways.

Another change being made in the remaster is the addition of a minimap in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. This minimap will assist players in knowing when they are trespassing in a location and could potentially be spotted.

These changes are expected to make Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal the definitive port of the game, allowing players to have a true Hitman experience from Paris to Vegas as they eliminate their targets.

The trailer ends with a reveal of the game’s release date of January 25, 2023. A mere two weeks after the release of this trailer. With how the end of January is packed with game releases, this just goes to show how confident Feral Interactive are with the Hitman IP

Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal is currently available to purchase via the Android and IOS app stores for $15, with the upcoming Switch port being available for pre-order at $30.
